P.S. . . .still thinking after all that Blog. . .

P.S.

Forgot to mention a couple key things. . .

The Great Wall of China--we climbed it!!! One of the Seven Wonders of the World, and we were on part of it!!! A highlight of the trip--Yes, absolutely, an awesome experience!!! And I have the t-shirt to prove it (Thanks, Thelma!)

Thelma & Louise--well we made it through China. . .and China and the rest of the crew on Kal Bus 1 survived it (we think!). We shopped, bargained, struggled with our chopsticks and snapped hundreds of photos with the best of them! Where next Thelma. . .???

And about the Panda from the National Zoo in Washington, D.C.? Well, during our time in Beijing although we did not tour the Zoo, we did arrange for a rendezvous for Panda with a gorgeous mate. The word is that it was love at first sight and they are munching bamboo side by side as we speak. All's well that ends well--mission accomplished!

In closing--I don't think I mentioned the lingering vision I have of the beautiful faces of the children we saw in China. Many of us have photographs of them, but pictures aside, I think we all remember the sweet innocence and pure beauty we saw in the eyes, smiles and perfect complexion of these little dolls. Bye bye dear ones, it was a pleasure to meet you!

Good night now to all--Kim.

  1. Welcome back home safe and sound - so, the Panda wasn't an April Fool's joke? Connecting with other parts of the world in a very personal way has to be life-changing - so glad you all had that opportunity! And thank you again for sharing the experience on a daily basis - almost like being there - hope you do not experience very much jetlag - Much Love from Joan and Butch

  3. Guess the blog has ended and I miss hearing from everyone and making entries myself - so hear goes to see if it is still active - have been very busy personally here in Texas with theater activities mostly - we had a regional AACTFest here last week - both Butch and I worked every day from Thursday through Sunday - very interesting and valuable experience - saw seven shows and met a lot of wonderful people - one of the theaters was from Mena, Arkansas - you may remember that they had a devastating tornado recently - and they still came with there show and raised funds to make it happen and we passed the hat for them as well - you meet some of the best people in theatre! Hope you are all back to normal and well and happy - Much Love, Joan, Butch and Shep
